Monday Made It!

Hey guys! I'm linking up with Tara over at 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It!!  I finally got my act together, and made a teacher toolbox! I. LOVE. IT! I am going to redo the labels with a cuter font (new computer, and wasn't sure what I wanted or how I wanted to dress the labels up!) , and straighten up that tape. There were a few minor issues that went with this little project. My daughter picked the bubble gum pink color :). The main problem was the painting. I live out in the middle of nowhere, and there are a lot of bugs. A LOT! They kept getting stuck in my paint, and I would have to add another coat of paint, and so on but I finally got it all together. I also couldn't decide what use to dress up the labels. My classroom theme is chevron {along with everyone else :)}, and I found some bright and cute chevron duck tape at Walmart! It was perfect!! If you look at the very bottom left box I wanted to totally frame the label, but I think it looks much better doing...

Work It Wednesday!

Hey hey! I'm here linking up with Katie King at Queen of the First Grade Jungle for Work It Wednesday! I'm just all about the linky's this summer. ;) I've been following Katie for a little over a year, and I actually found her through one of her fitness hashtags on Instagram, and THEN realized that she taught 2nd grade! :) I was so inspired by her fitness journey, but I never got around to get really serious about my own. Ever since I've had my kids I've felt so guilty taking time out to take care of myself. Like ridiculously guilty. I suffered from postpartum depression after both of my kids. I didn't even realize what it was until it was over. But I used to think "Why would I spend an hour working out when I could spend that hour cleaning, or holding my baby, or...." September Currently

I'm back with my September Currently! I'm linking up with Farley at Oh Boy Fourth Grade! So here it goes!! LISTENING: To Jake and the Neverland Pirates...because I have kids and they will sit through it while I cook dinner, and do other things :) LOVING: That my baby took a 3 hour nap today. Okay so he's not really a baby. He's 2.5. But he didn't get a nap the past two days, and has been a cranky mess today. So, I'm glad he was able to sleep, and I got a lot of quality time in with my 6 year old. :) THINKING: About how I needed to go to the school today. To grab some assessments, to put up some things, to make copies, etc....And then I left my key at home, and I live 40 minutes away from my school. :/ Oh well, at least we got home for nap time :). WANTING: A 3 hour nap myself. I'm always so tired the first of the year. NEEDING: To do laundry. Self-explanatory. It's ENDLESS........and I don't know why. How can 4 peo...
